5th Midwest Symposium on Immunology

Dear students, teachers, and researchers,

 I would like to invite you to participate in the 5th Midwest Symposium on Immunology that will be held at the Institute of Tropical Pathology and Public Health of the Federal University of Goiás on November 20 and 21, 2023. We are very happy to hold our Symposium in person after the COVID-19 pandemic that demanded immediate effort from researchers, and especially immunologists. The immunologists of the Brazilian Midwest had a decisive and crucial participation. In addition, the other areas of research did not stop and presented several advances. The Midwest region of the Brazilian Society of Immunology has developed a comprehensive scientific program that will allow the symposist to know the research developed in this region, as well as have the opportunity to discuss the state of the art of the development of the Brazilian vaccine developed for COVID-19 (SPINTEC).

Thinking about inclusive science, a panel will discuss the role of women in immunology and science. Also, to foster the activities developed by undergraduate and graduate students, we will have a poster session and an oral presentation session of the best works. We hope that all participants can meet, discuss science, establish collaborations, and be encouraged to continue in immunology or increase their areas of expertise with various possibilities of immunology application. Goiânia is a young city with several parks, bars and regional foods that will contribute to a good interaction between students, researchers, and teachers. We hope to meet you in Goiânia in November.
